The day after Christmas, we left for Colorado.. 11 hour drive!! The dogs did great and got to okay in snow on some of our gas stops..
Our trip was AMAZING! We got to see so many people and I finally met the new addition to the family and all the "fuzzins" (cousins) that I've heard about. It's so nice (and CONVENIENT) that some of my best friends live in the same place as the in-laws.
We spent lots of family time and it was so nice to really get quality time to get to know Ben's family. The best part was all the baby heaven we were in: adorable Caleb has grown so much and was so excited to learn to pull-up on furniture; baby Elijah, which was the first time we met him and oh man is he CUTE; and Ben's best friend's baby girl Avery, who might have the most BEAUTIFUL smile and eyes I have ever seen!! Ben's mom is such a great host and his WHOLE family is welcoming.. I couldn't have married into a NICER family. We went to the Electric Zoo one night and enjoyed all the animals and lights!!
That giraffe tried to EAT and STEAL my new giraffe hat (it was SOOOO chilly and Ben said he can't wait for me to wear the hat on our many future trips to zoos with our future minis 👪). His family loves the zoo!!
I also got to see my Amanda and Lucy. It's sad that I live so far from some of my few friends that I have. I went to Amanda's little girl's birthday party. It's so crazy how BIG and GROWN UP her little babies are getting!! We spent New Year's Eve with my bestie Lucy in Denver!! I wish I could have seen her more, but I will take ANY time I can with her. CONGRATS Lucy and Jon.. Can't wait for your upcoming wedding!!
Keepin' it classy Lucy! We definitely realized we won't be going out on the town again for New Years.. We felt old and tired and left LITERALLY after the fireworks haha. It was such a fun night and quite adventurous on the Light Rail. Love that Ben and I finally got to spend our FIRST New Years together since he worked last year!! Isn't he HANDSOME?!?!
The trip was so much fun. Plus, we learned a fun, new card game "Hand and Foot." We may have become OBSESSED!! I hope we get to visit more regularly. I LOVE my in-laws!!
